GRANDPARENTS DAY
All KP-6th grade students would like to invite their grandparents and grandfriends to come to school on January 16th for a special Grandparents Day presentation! While we value family involvement, due to limited space, this event is for grandparents and grandfriends only. The event will be from 9:00-10:00.
HIGH SCHOOL CAREER DAY
We will welcome 3 guest speakers to share about their careers with high school students on Friday, January 16. High school students will not have regular 1st or 2nd period classes.
2026-27 SCHOOL YEAR CALENDARS
The Board of Directors has approved the calendars for next school year! There are separate calendars for the 2-day and 3-day track. Please note that while most dates, such as the start of school and breaks, will not change, some dates are subject to change. You will also notice that school begins on August 11th, which is a Home Education Day for the 3-Day track. This will be a day utilized to prepare for the school year with lesson plans from the teacher to introduce curriculum and preparations for the year. SUPPLIES
We are kindly requesting support with classroom supplies to help ensure our students continue to have the materials they need for a successful learning experience. Due to space and limitations, we only requested parents to bring in supplies for first semester, and hold supplies for second semester. With second semester right around the corner, the following items would be extremely helpful: reams of paper, Clorox wipes, and magic erasers. Thank you for your continued support for our classroom!

CREATIVE WRITING FESTIVAL
Calling all aspiring authors! CCA will be competing in the FACCS Conference Creative Writing Festival again this year. The entry fee is $16 and must be paid using the link below by January 19. Writing pieces should be submitted to Mr. Rodriguez at Hrodriguez@discovercca.org by February 2. PARENT MEETING
Join us on Tuesday, January 27 for the last parent meeting of the school year. This mandatory parent meeting will be held at Northside Baptist Church from 5:45pm to 8:00pm. It will be an important meeting as we prepare for our annual History Day and discuss plans for next school year. As with all parent meetings, this meeting is for parents only. Please make other arrangements for your children.

ROLLING BACKPACKS
You may have read in Mrs. Loerzel’s email at the beginning of the year that we will be utilizing rolling backpacks, rather than crates, starting in the fall semester of 2026. We have two rolling backpacks in the office, in case you’d like to view some examples, and we will have them available at the parent meeting for you to see, as well.
