PARENT MEETING
Join us on Tuesday, January 27 for the last parent meeting of the school year. This mandatory parent meeting will be held at Northside Baptist Church from 5:45pm to 8:00pm. It will be an important meeting as we prepare for our annual History Day and discuss plans for next school year. As with all parent meetings, this meeting is for parents only. Please make other arrangements for your children.

ROLLING BACKPACKS
You may have read in Mrs. Loerzel’s email at the beginning of the year that we will be utilizing rolling backpacks, rather than crates, starting in the fall semester of 2026. We have two rolling backpacks in the office, in case you’d like to view some examples, and we will have them available at the parent meeting for you to see, as well. SUPPLIES – REAMS OF PAPER STILL NEEDED
A heartfelt thank you to everyone who has so generously donated classroom supplies—we are truly grateful for your kindness and support. We are still in need of reams of paper for class materials, which play an important role in creating a successful and engaging learning experience. Donations may be dropped off at the front desk at your convenience. Thank you for your continued support of our classroom!
GRANDPARENTS DAY FLYER
We have placed flyers in Lower School CF folders today in case your grandparent or grandfriend was unable to attend Grandparents Day this year. The flyer shares information about our Planting Roots Capital Campaign, and how grandparents and grandfriends can play a special role in the growth of our school. SOCCER SIGN-UPS ARE NOW OPEN
Sign-ups are now open for all soccer programs from bittyball minis (K-2nd) and mighties (3rd to 5th) through MS soccer (5th to 8th). 5th graders my sign up for either mighties or MS soccer depending on your preference. Practices will begin the second week of February and the season will end in April. Please sign-up by February 1st! AIR BOAT FIELD TRIP

BAKE SALE
House Council is holding a Bake Sale February 2nd and 4th during lunch with proceeds going toward their Spring Formal. All baked goods will be sold for $1 each.
CLASS GUIDANCE MEETING
SCHOOL WIDE PICTURE- EARLY ARRIVAL
Wednesday, February 4, is our school-wide photo. Students should wear their school uniform. Upper school students need to arrive by 8:10 and lower school students by 8:15. This will give us time to take the pictures without interfering with the school day.
HISTORY DAY
History Day is coming up on February 13th from 8:45am to 12:00pm! This much-anticipated event brings history to life for our students, and we can’t do it without our families. At least one parent is required to help with setup on February 12 at 12:30 PM and to participate in costume during History Day itself.

HISTORY DAY SET-UP CHILDCARE
National Honor Society students will provide childcare for ages 2-years through 2nd grade during History Day set up on Thursday, February 12. Space is limited! Please sign up and make your NHS donation. Deadline to sign up is February 8th.

PEP NEW AND RENEWAL APPLICATIONS
New and renewal applications for the PEP scholarship for the 2026-27 school year open on February 1st. The deadline to submit for the PEP application is April 30th. You do not have to submit your norm reference testing until the spring. If your student is in K-2nd grade, we will be sending you more information about administering testing at home. Testing for all other grades is completed on campus like usual.
CONTINUOUS ENROLLMENT
Sunday, February 15, is the deadline to notify CCA in writing of any enrollment changes for the upcoming school year. To make a change, for a withdrawal OR change in Track Program, please email Shawna Ritter at sritter@discovercca.org or meet with an administrator.
