WOOTEN’S FIELD TRIP
All participants that are attending the Wooten’s Airboat field trip received an email on Thursday, February 19th, with important information about the trip. We are looking forward to a great day in the Everglades! Please note that Upper School Students attending the field trip will have limited lesson plans to complete. This work will be due on Friday to allow time for completion.
FOR STUDENTS NOT ATTENDING THE FIELD TRIP:
Please carefully review these instructions for Upper and Lower School if your student is not attending the field trip – Lower School Students will complete a Home Exploration Day, coming up with their own educational plan for the day or take an absence. Please complete the Home Exploration Day form by Wednesday, February 25, or your student will be marked absent. www.discovercca.org/handbooks-forms/ Upper School Students will have some lesson plans to complete at home. These plans will be due on Friday instead of Wednesday to allow time for those attending the field trip to complete them.
TWIN DAY SPIRIT DAY
All students may show their CCA Spirit on Feb. 27 for our 3rd quarter Spirit Day – Twin Day! Pick a friend (or friends) and twin up! What can I wear? The students can wear clothing of their choosing that aligns with the Spirit Day theme. This is a special privilege. However, modesty, appropriate length and fit (including placement of holes in jeans) still applies. Sandals, and flip flops are allowed. If you aren’t participating in a Spirit Day, then you need to wear the uniform dress code. Please refer to the Dress Code Guidelines for any additional guidance: https://www.discovercca.org/handbooks-forms/
DAILY LOBBY CLOSURE
The front lobby and front desk are closed at 3:00 each day. If you need to pick up your student early, talk to the front desk or office, or bring something inside – please do so before 3:00. This will help our teachers and staff wrap up the day in an orderly manner.
CONTINUOUS ENROLLMENT

UNIFORM SALE

PEP NEW AND RENEWAL APPLICATIONS
PEP announced through their social media that the scholarship is at capacity for NEW students. If you are a returning PEP student, the deadline to submit for the PEP application is April 30th. New students may still apply and they will be added to the scholarship wait list. If we get any additional information, we will let you know. When completing the application, select PEP Hybrid Private School when prompted for type of school. You do not have to submit your norm reference testing until the spring. If your student is in K-2nd grade, we will be sending you more information about administering testing at home. Testing for all other grades is completed on campus like usual.
ILLNESS REMINDER

MARCH BEFORE SCHOOL CARE
The deadline to sign up for Before School Care is February 25th. The cost for March is $42.00. If you have registered for before school care drop off is: *6th-12th grade students can be dropped off as early as 7:15 AM and *KP – 5th grade students can be dropped off as early as 8:00 AM. STANDARDIZED TESTING
3rd-9th grade students will be participating in standardized testing the week of March 2-6th. More information will be coming next week.
NEW DATE: SCHOOL-WIDE PHOTO
The school-wide photo has been rescheduled to Monday, March 9th! Students should wear their school uniform. Upper school students need to arrive by 8:10am and lower school students by 8:15am. This will give us time to take the pictures without interfering with the school day.
