UPPER SCHOOL AWARDS ASSEMBLY
Our year-end academic Awards Assembly will be Monday, May 11th, at 8:30am. You were notified Wednesday, May 6, if your student is receiving an award. Parents are welcome to attend.
ELECTIVE SHOWCASE
Monday, May 11th at 2:30 is our annual spring elective showcase. Electives performing are: dance, ninja, praise and worship, violin, drama, and ensemble. Please join us as we celebrate the hard work and achievements of our students!
UPPER SCHOOL SERVICE DAY
On May 12th all of Upper School will have a community service event from 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM. 7th grade will be serving at RYAN Healing Center and 8th-12th graders will be serving at Northside Baptist Church. Students not attending will be marked absent.
MAVERICK GAMES
Wednesday, May 13th is our last day of school and annual Maverick Games! Upper and Lower School Students should arrive by 8:45 AM. The games begin at 9:00 AM.
Who will win the House Cup?! Parents are welcome to attend but it is not required. Mandatory Dress Code: House shirt, CCA Shirt or shirt in house colors, dress code bottoms, PE uniform shorts or sweatpants only. Must have closed toe shoes. After the games, students will return to their classrooms to receive and sign yearbooks. We will be dismissed at noon, and dismissal will be walk-up only. Kona Ice will be available for purchase under the portico to celebrate the start of summer!
STUDY LAB
We are launching a Study Lab for students in 8th-12th grade for the 2026-27 school year. This program will provide structured time for students to work through their lesson plans in Math, Science, and English with a teacher present to offer support, answer questions, and provide additional instructions as needed. The Study Lab will be held on Thursdays from 12:30-3:15pm. To help us adequately prepare, we are asking that students sign up before May 31st. TESTING RESULTS
Everyone has received their students’ standardized testing scores. If you have the PEP Scholarship, scores must be uploaded by May 31st to meet Step Up or AAA requirements.

Mrs. Herndon, our 2-Day Track Principal, will be reaching out via email at that time, as well. SUMMER READING LISTS
This summer, enjoy reading and earn dress-down passes for the 2026-27 school year! Reading lists will be sent home with your student and can be found on our website: https://www.discovercca.org/curriculum-supply-list/
This is a requirement for grades 3-12th and will be turned in to your teacher on the first day of school. Optional lists are posted for rising K-2nd grade. A supplemental reading list is provided for all lower school students. This list includes suggestions that can be family read-aloud choices and independent reading books.

CCA IS MOVING – WE NEED YOUR HELP!
CCA is preparing for an exciting move, and we need your help! We’ll be packing and moving items from The Breeze Church into a U-Haul, then unloading at our new temporary home at Northside Baptist or a nearby storage unit. Some lifting will be involved, and if you have a dolly or hand truck, please bring it (labeled with your name) on May 18 to help make things easier.
Students in grades 7–12 are welcome to serve and can earn community service hours. Please sign up for one or more days—we truly appreciate your support!
