TUESDAY, 1/6 IS A HOME EXPLORATION DAY!
Previously referred to as “Home Education Days”, Tuesday, 1/6, will be Home Exploration Day. The new name “home exploration” better represents the expectations for these days. Home school days will now be called “home education” days. Just like usual, Lower School families will come up with their own educational plan for the day or take an absence (see the electronic submission form for some ideas), and Upper School students have lessons to complete. SECOND SEMESTER ELECTIVES
Electives for the second semester have been added to Jupiter for you to see in which electives your students have been placed! If your 7th-12th grade student is in one of the following classes, they are required to wear the CCA PE uniform from All Uniform Wear (https://www.discovercca.org/schoolstore/): Self Defense, 7th Grade PE, Personal Fitness, Basketball. Contact Elective Coordinator Mrs. Urbanek at Turbanek@discovercca.org if you have questions about electives.
FULL STEAM AHEAD MINI CAMPS
This year we introduced several new electives, and they’ve been a big hit! Unfortunately, that also meant they filled up quickly during semester sign-ups. If your student was unable to enroll in a course offered by Full Steam Ahead, they are hosting mini camps over the break at https://fullsteamaheadfl.com/mini-camps. Additionally, if you’ve settled into your homeschool routine and find you have extra time on Tuesdays or Thursdays, you can take advantage of their homeschool programs as well.

See the path ahead, led by our Upper School Principal and Guidance Counselor, with alumni sharing where the journey can take you!
CRATE CLEANING
Throughout the year many students start to collect a whole assortment of trash, old papers, dirty clothes and snack wrappers at the bottom of the crates. Christmas break is a good time to do a thorough cleaning of your student’s crates.
SUPPLIES
We are kindly requesting support with classroom supplies to help ensure our students continue to have the materials they need for a successful learning experience. Due to space and limitations, we only requested parents to bring in supplies for first semester, and hold supplies for second semester. With second semester right around the corner, the following items would be extremely helpful: reams of paper, Clorox wipes, and magic erasers. Thank you for your continued support for our classroom!
