HISTORY DAY- THROUGH THE DECADES
Friday, February 13th from 8:45-12:00 is our annual History Day! CCA students will step back in time as they travel through our interactive booths- each offering a glimpse into aspects of the 20th century. At least one parent is required to attend and help with History Day. Students and parents should be dressed in costume. We will not be serving lunch but will have snacks throughout. K-5th students will return to their classrooms until everything is cleaned up. Parents and students in grades 6-12 are expected to help clean up and must remain with their parent.
HISTORY DAY SET-UP
History day set up is Thursday, February 12 from 12:30-4:00. Parents are required to help a minimum of 5 hours for History Day. This includes helping your House prepare and/or set up booths. Completing your required service hours is essential to our community. To avoid a fine, please be sure to coordinate with your leader and fulfill your hours. It takes all of us working together! This commitment directly benefits our students and is something our staff and parents proudly work on together for the students. Thank you for doing your part!

HISTORY DAY SET-UP CHILDCARE
National Honor Society students will provide childcare for ages 2-years through 2nd grade during History Day set up on Thursday, February 12. Space is limited! Please sign up and make your NHS donation. Deadline to sign up is February 8th.

CCA Winter Break is February 16-17th. Enjoy your time with your family!
PEP NEW AND RENEWAL APPLICATIONS
New and renewal applications for the PEP scholarship for the 2026-27 school year open on February 1st. The deadline to submit for the PEP application is April 30th. When completing the application, select PEP Hybrid Private School when prompted for type of school. You do not have to submit your norm reference testing until the spring. If your student is in K-2nd grade, we will be sending you more information about administering testing at home. Testing for all other grades is completed on campus like usual.
ILLNESS REMINDER

PLANTING ROOTS TOGETHER
This week, your student came home with a half-page flyer in their CF folder titled ‘Planting Roots Together’. These are simple ways families can help CCA grow! Not everyone can do everything, but everyone can do something. SOCCER SIGN-UPS EXTENDED
Sign up by February 7th! Sign-ups are now open for all soccer programs from bittyball minis (K-2nd) and mighties (3rd to 5th) through MS soccer (5th to 8th). MARCH BEFORE SCHOOL CARE
The deadline to sign up for Before School Care is February 25th. The cost for February is $42.00. If you have registered for before school care drop off is: *6th-12th grade students can be dropped off as early as 7:15 AM and *KP – 5th grade students can be dropped off as early as 8:00 AM. If you have a student in both upper and lower school, you can drop students off at upper school time, 7:15 AM. For help, contact Sarah Snyder at ssnyder@discovercca.org.
