14-November-2014 – North Fort Myers, Fla. – Classical Christian Academy will auction off a number of fun, unique and luxurious items during its annual online auction, which runs from Nov. 16 through Dec. 1.
Resort packages are some of the most popular items in CCA’s Annual Auction.
CCA’s goal is to raise $15,000 to support the school, which offers families an academically rigorous and Christ-centered education, blending the best aspects of private and home education.
More than 400 items have been donated by local businesses, organizations and individuals. High-value items include these exciting vacation packages:
A seven-night stay in St. James Club, Antigua, valued at $3,000
A three-night stay on Captiva Island, valued at $1,500
A five-night stay in beautiful Panama, valued at $2,700
A weeklong stay in the mountains of North Carolina, valued at $550
Other popular offerings include sports and entertainment items. There are Walt Disney World Park Hopper passes up for grabs, as well as tickets for four to the Broadway Palm Dinner Theatre or Sidney & Berne Davis Art Center. Outdoor adventures include kayaking packages and golfing at some of the nicest courses in Southwest Florida.
Restaurant gift certificates include Iguana Mia, Applebee’s, Beef O’Brady’s, Connors Steak & Seafood, Buca di Beppo, Lee Roy Selmon’s, Rib City and many more. Roy’s Restaurant is offering a cooking class and lunch with the chef for four, valued at $200.
Several local artists have contributed original artwork to the auction offerings, and there are even a few priceless sports memorabilia items, including autographed Florida Gators items from the 2007 National Championship and former players Emmitt Smith, Anthony Roberson, Steve Spurrier and Tim Tebow.
A lucky couple could learn some impressive dance moves with a gift certificate from Sergio’s Dance Studio for private and group lessons. Others might want to learn to the basics of motorcycling from Harley Davidson Riding Academy.
While many auction items highlight the amenities of Southwest Florida, a number of items come from national retailers, restaurants and resorts, which may be enjoyed by out-of-town bidders.
“Many CCA supporters plan their Southwest Florida vacations based on their annual auction winnings,” said CCA Auction Coordinator Amy DeFrance.
