Private Hybrid School Students Serve More Than 200 Delegates at ECHO

Classical Christian Academy, in North Fort Myers, served delegates at ECHO for the eleventh year in a row.

CCA students volunteered to serve missionaries at an ECHO event.

NORTH FORT MYERS, Fla. – Students at Classical Christian Academy, a North Fort Myers hybrid school, served delegates at the Educational Concerns for Hunger Organization’s (ECHO) 19th Annual Missionary Conference, on Nov. 20, 2014. The students helped prepare the food and served more than 200 delegates as a school-wide community service project. CCA partnered with the Christian Home Educators of Southwest Florida group for this event.

During the conference, ECHO hosts delegates from around the globe to share ideas and network regarding the issues involving the feeding of and producing food for the world’s poorest.

“For our students to know they give their gift of service to  missionaries who in turn go out and serve others, shows our children that our small acts of kindness can have a ripple effect that literally changes lives around the world,” said Cindy Prechtel, CCA guidance counselor and this event’s coordinator. “It’s a service project with a far-reaching impact.”

This is the 11th year CCA volunteered at this conference. ECHO representatives commented that this meal has become a favorite of the missionaries. CCA plans to continue its participation in 2015.
