“Of all the hard jobs around, the hardest is being a good teacher.” –Maggie Gallagher.
Ms. Maddux loves to be hands-on with her students!
Teaching is not an easy job at all but Ms. Julie Maddux does a wonderful job teaching 5th grade at CCA. This year is Ms. Maddux’s 3rd year teaching at CCA. She was intrigued by our unique hybrid program and was ready for a fresh change. Julie also teaches Latin A and Middle School math but “I think science is the best!” She says. Ms. Maddux was born in New Jersey but spent most of her life in the beautiful Pocono Mountains of Pennsylvania. After moving to Florida a little over 30 years ago, when she isn’t teaching in the classroom, Ms. Maddux loves to be outside growing flowers or vegetables in her garden, taking walks in the beautiful weather or watching her favorite TV show, “Touched By An Angel.”
Ms. Maddux is so excited to meet her new students and start the school year!
Ms. Maddux loves to get her students as actively involved in their learning as possible. Last week, her students used balloons to magnify their fingerprints. They put an inked fingerprint on the balloon, blew it up which allowed them to see the unique differences of their fingerprints! Ms. Maddux was happily inking her fingers right along with her students.
Ms. Maddux has a love for teaching, a passion for her students and a heart for Jesus. Having her on our team at CCA is such a blessing!
