Our unique hybrid school relies on the strength of our teachers. Mrs. Delina Caldwell teaches many of our middle school students and a variety of subjects. When you walk into Mrs. Caldwell’s classroom, she may be teaching Humanities, History or Anatomy. A little over two years ago, Mrs. Caldwell discovered CCA when a family posted about a job opening on their church’s website. After hearing about how CCA blends traditional and homeschooling, she knew it was the perfect fit for her. “CCA is the best of both worlds.” She says.
Mrs. Caldwell didn’t grow up wanting to be a teacher. “Librarian, author, or president,” were just a few things on her list of dream jobs. We are glad she chose to be apart of our team. Homeschooling has been a passion of Mrs. Caldwell’s long before she taught at CCA. Mrs. Caldwell and her husband owned a small bookstore in downtown Fort Myers. She homeschooled her son in their bookstore with shelves filled with adventure stories and picture books. Her passion for homeschooling drew her to CCA and she carries that same passion to her classroom. When she’s not teaching, Mrs. Caldwell loves to go to the beach, read and go antiquing.
Mrs. Caldwell has only been at CCA for two years but she has become such an integral part of our team, it feels like we’ve never been without her. We certainly hope we never will!
